Welcome to Dragonboat the World! This is my inaugural post on all things Dragonboat. On this space, I will keep a journal of events I may and may not participate in – paddling with a close knit team on that long boat has been my go to sport and I’d like to share it here and encourage other people with the sport as an alternative outdoor activity.

Last weekend (Sept 8-9) I had the pleasure of joining a mixed club team, Rogue Paddling Club (Long Beach, CA) and Dragon Hybrids (Vancouver, BC).

I love the Rogue Paddling team, they work hard but does not forget to party hard as well. Likewise, Dragon Hybrids is very competitive – I like their paddling technique as it closely matches mine. I’ve previously paddled with both these teams from previous events and they are really fun and easy to be with on the boat!
